Executive Team

Zeus has an established Board and Executive team that bring to the company in-depth commercial and industry-specific experience, from organizations such as BEA Systems, BT, Equant, IBM, Oracle, Prevx and Symbian.

Paul Brennan - CEO

Paul Brennan brings over 20 years of executive-level experience in the IT sector to Zeus. Previously he was Chairman of Apptix ASA and VisionOSS and was partner and CEO of Korral Partners and Chairman of Xtractor AS and Trustix AS among others. He was the CEO of Metamerge AS, where he managed the company through its successful acquisition by IBM Corporation. Prior to that, as Vice President and General Manager of Actional Corporation and NetFRAME Systems Inc, he established the European operations for the US parent companies. Brennan was also the Sales & Marketing Director of Europe for EQUANT, and was part of the European management team through its successful dual listings on the New York and Paris exchanges. He started his career with 10 years at IBM Corporation in Europe and Australia after graduating with a degree in Geology and Geophysics from the University of Sydney.

David Day - Chief Technology Officer

David Day has over 24 years experience in the IT industry, joining Zeus in early 2002. David provides technical leadership for Zeus, with overall responsibility for the company’s technology vision and strategy, leads all aspects of Zeus' product development and plays a key role in establishing Zeus' strategic partnerships. David has been on Zeus' Board of Directors since 2004.

Previously, he was the Smartphone Program Manager at Symbian, Operations and Technical Manager at Origin, and has worked in a number of senior operational and high tech product development roles. David holds a 1st Class Honours degree in Engineering.

 

Pal Kondel - VP Global Sales

Pal Kondel joins as VP Global Sales, and brings more than 23 years’ experience to the role. Most recently he was responsible for heading up Enterprise Sales on a global basis as Sales Director for Interwoven NEMEA. Prior to Interwoven, Pal worked at Computer Associates for nine years in the UK operation, managing a wide range of business divisions and service offerings, and has also worked at the ICL Group. At Zeus, Pal will be responsible for developing and implementing the global sales strategy, including managing the international sales team, developing revenue streams and taking Zeus’ products and solutions into new markets.

 

Kosten Metreweli - Chief Marketing Officer

Kosten Metreweli is CMO at Zeus Technology. Before joining Zeus, Kosten was VP of Global Marketing at Tideway (now part of BMC software), recognised by the Sunday Times TechTrack as the fastest growing private software company in the UK in 2008, and a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer in 2009. Prior to Tideway, Kosten was VP of Business Development at MetaSolv Software, and Orchestream (acquired by MetaSolv). Kosten has also worked as a senior consultant at Renaissance Worldwide, a leading strategy and technology consultancy, and as a research scientist at Philips Research Laboratories.

Kosten holds an MA in Engineering from Cambridge University.

Travis Reed - General Manager, Americas

Travis Reed brings to Zeus his wealth of experience as a software analyst on Wall Street as well as over 12 years experience in selling and marketing technology solutions.  Travis is responsible for developing strategic partnerships.

Travis’ background includes sales positions at IBM, BEA Systems, Bowstreet, and Microsoft.  Travis also worked at both Soundview and Merrill Lynch as an analyst before launching his own research and consulting firm specializing in the software industry.

He has MBA degrees from the Haas School of Business and Columbia Graduate School of Business.

Steve Webb - Vice President, Strategic Accounts

Steve Webb has over 20 years senior sales and marketing experience in high technology joining Zeus from IT intrusion prevention company Prevx where he was VP Sales EMEA. From 1997 to 2002 he was director of business development and marketing for Articon-Integralis and a member of the management team that grew revenues from $10M to more than $200M and created pan-Europe IT security distributor Allasso. From 1988 to 1997 he held sales and marketing management positions with Silicon Graphics (SGI) and prior to this worked at Apollo Computer and Prime Computer.

An electronics engineer, he holds an MBA from Henley Management College/Brunel University together with a post-graduate diploma in Marketing.

 

Raja Srinivasan – Corporate Business Development

Raja Srinivasan has over 20 years experience working with high technology companies at Oracle and Symantec. Raja ran the Technology Partner Program at Symantec for several years. He was instrumental in (re)establishing and kick starting the program after the Symantec Veritas merger. At Oracle, Raja was an technology architect working with the Oracle On-Demand Engineering organization.

Raja’s interests are in Cloud Computing, Cloud Management Infrastructure, and the Virtualized data center.

 

Charles Hobley - Financial Controller and Company Secretary

Charles Hobley has held financial management roles for a number of early stage companies over the last six years, most recently as Finance Controller of RiboTargets through its successful combinations with British Biotech plc and Vernalis plc in 2003. Prior to this Charles gained extensive experience with Ernst & Young in Cambridge.

He holds a degree in History from Leicester University and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

 

Vanessa Cross – Director of Marketing Communications

Vanessa Cross joined Zeus in August 2008 and brings over 20 years experience of both agency and client-side marketing within the technology sector. A practiced operational and strategic marketer, she has held a variety of marketing roles within BT Retail and BT Global Services, concentrating on strategic planning, corporate communications and market research and analysis. Since leaving BT she has worked as a senior consultant with a wide range of organizations, from blue chip to SMB, providing the foundation and ‘hands on’ expertise to help companies implement their marketing strategies, grow their business and generate new revenue streams.

Vanessa is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Kieron Thorpe - Director of Systems Engineering

Kieron Thorpe has over 20 years experience working with high technology ISP’s, Internet Exchange Points, automated manufacturing and military telecommunications. He was the Operations Manager at The London Internet Exchange (LINX), which he left to join XchangePoint as a founder member of the engineering team where he lead the European build, deployment and support strategy. Most recently he was the Network Operations Manager for Timico, a leading communications provider to the business market.

Kieron holds a Diploma in Management from the University of Leicester.

 

Charlotte Pemberton - Human Resources

Charlotte Pemberton joined the Zeus executive team in January 2009, bringing 15 years HR experience within the hi-tech sector. Her most recent role prior to joining Zeus was as an In-business HR Manager for Motorola’s Mobile Devices Business in Europe, prior to which she was global Head of HR at TTPCom (where she played a key role in the company’s integration into Motorola, following their acquisition in 2006).

Charlotte holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from APU, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development.
