The success of an SOA application depends critically on the infrastructure’s ability to pass messages between the SOA components. The network takes a key part in this, transmitting data rapidly and reliably, but the demands of SOA go far beyond this.
A Service Oriented Network is created by layering reliability, acceleration and management capabilities on top of the existing network, using an XML-aware traffic manager, or 'Service Delivery Controller'.
