ServerHouse, the independent colocation and Internet Facilities company, and Zeus Technology, the world's leading provider of hosting automation and web-server infrastructure, announced today that ServerHouse Ltd will take over the operation and ownership of Webperf, the industry standard web performance monitoring service.
The Webperf site was originally started by Zeus Technology in October 1998 as the only UK based independent ISP monitoring service. Now, with over 300 ISPs using the system, the site is the UK's major monitoring service.
The Webperf tests will continue on exactly the same basis as before: free of charge to all participants and managed as an independent monitor for key performance data amongst the majority of ISPs in the UK. The service provides an independent measure of web server access speed and availability of all test participants, which are ranked accordingly. This information, which is continually updated, is summarized and displayed each month in Internet Magazine, providing an invaluable source of information for customers and suppliers.
