Zeus Technology, the world's leading Internet infrastructure software vendor, today announced the release of Zeus Client Bandwidth Management module, a plug-in to the multi-award-winning Zeus Web Server.
The module allows bandwidth to be throttled on a per-user or per-web site basis. Throttling can be configured on a basis of MIME type and/or file size, and is designed to be deployed over a cluster of Zeus Web Servers. Clients can be identified by user name or IP address. Specific functionality negates download accelerators from bypassing the bandwidth controls. By controlling bandwidth, users can contain and lower their bandwidth costs and deliver committed Quality of Service (QoS) to their customers.
Zeus Client Bandwidth Management module is suitable both for users seeking to control individuals' bandwidth usage across a single site, or for users who host many thousands of sites and wish to control bandwidth per web site as well.
