Zeus Technology, the acknowledged leader in Internet infrastructure solutions, today announced the expansion of its UK channel strategy following the launch of Zeus Extensible Traffic Manager, the next generation in high-availability, application-centric traffic management and load balancing.

The company will no longer use two tier distribution but will switch to single tier distribution and OEM licensing. A new accreditation programme for Zeus resellers will also offer dedicated Zeus account managers and support staff, as well as access to Zeus Global Services consultants for larger deployments.

John Paterson, CEO Zeus Technology, commented, "We found that it's better to have a direct relationship with resellers than via a distributor, especially when introducing a new product to the marketplace. With a direct relationship we can provide much closer technical and pre-sales assistance, essential to getting a new reseller off the ground."

The company will also be licensing Zeus Extensible Traffic Manager to appliance, blade and software vendors. "Load balancing and application balancing is increasingly becoming part of the application rather than a stand alone box", continued John Paterson, "We're talking to many vendors about bundling Zeus Extensible Traffic Manager into their solutions."

Zeus products are distributed in Japan by Sumitomo, though HP worldwide and to the US Federal Government by Indus Corporation.
