Zeus Technology announced its partnership with South African systems integrator and consulting services firm SYSDBA.
August 22, 2006
Zeus Technology, the leading provider of award-winning application traffic management software, today announced its partnership with South African systems integrator and consulting services firm SYSDBA.
The partnership will enable SYSDBA to deliver Zeus Extensible Traffic Manager (ZXTM) to its corporate and channel customers, establishing, for the first time, availability of the advanced Application Delivery Controller (ADC) in South Africa. The Zeus platform was selected by SYSDBA for its ability to combine traffic management, advanced security and application acceleration in a single scalable solution, complementing its existing portfolio of solutions chosen to enable organizations to achieve maximum return on technology investment.
Leading financial services company First National Bank has already selected ZXTM to power its customer-facing Internet Banking website.
Having recently extended its presence into the US, following growth in China, France, Germany and Japan, Zeus is experiencing significant year-on-year growth and was recently named as visionary in Gartner's magic quadrant for the 'web enabled application delivery market' sector.
ZXTM is the only traffic management solution available as both an appliance and as a software platform to run on existing datacenter servers and blades, providing customers with the ultimate flexibility in choosing a product that suits their technology and business needs.
"Enterprises in South Africa are increasingly recognizing the need to bring more business operations online to boost employee productivity and customer service, however high costs and availability of regional telecoms infrastructure is still hindering the effectiveness of these measures," said Chris Bamber, Managing Director, SYSDBA. "Having evaluated a range of application-tier solutions, it was clear that ZXTM delivers the high levels of performance required to manage, secure and optimize application traffic, helping organizations drive network efficiency, business productivity and customer service."
"As Zeus Technology continues its global expansion, we are focused on building an extensive network of partners and consulting organizations that can act as trusted advisors to enterprise customers," said Paul di Leo, CEO, Zeus Technology. "We are delighted to be working closely with SYSDBA and that we can jointly address regional telecoms infrastructure challenges in South Africa, helping more businesses, like First National Bank, realize the benefits of ZXTM."
ZXTM's unique capabilities provides organizations with centralized control and resilience for applications, ensuring swift and seamless interaction between today's web-enabled applications and evolving XML-based Web Services. More adaptable and easier to use than anything currently available on the market, ZXTM enables both the network and applications to become more fluent and closely integrated. In 2005, ZXTM gained significant industry recognition, winning six significant awards both in the UK and the US from IT Week, Techworld and Broadband Testing.
