Educational organizations that provide distance or e-learning facilities for their students often have to present a complex combination of streaming media and messaging applications as a single integrated portal. This presents a number of challenges, such as ensuring sufficient bandwidth is always available for streaming media services, even during periods of intense activity. ZXTM's service level monitoring and bandwidth management can ensure that students are not distracted from their studying by poor service performance.

The Institute of Financial Services (the IFS) is an organization dedicated to the provision of education and life-long career support services to the financial services industry.
Previously, the IFS had a basic round-robin request distributor in place which was proving inadequate for their needs. They also wanted to provide SSL-encrypted access to services in the future, so that sensitive personal data would be protected.
ZXTM was deployed in a resilient configuration and brought together several e-learning and application services together into one portal. The IFS have plans to create site-to-site fail-over in the future using ZXTM.
ZXTM enabled the IFS to converge their separate web architectures into a single, more easily managed and monitored service. This means that the IFS is able maintain and extend their application services without affecting the day-to-day operation of their site.
